Heli Ski Kvikkjokk

A few miles north of the Arctic Circle, with Sarek National Park as a neighbor to the north, Staika to the west, and Raska to the south lies the Tarrekaise massif. Among these countless peaks, we have been operating heliskiing since 2004, acquiring unique knowledge of the terrain.

With more than 100 named runs, we can offer everything from smooth cruising to extreme challenges based on your skiing ability. In close cooperation with the local Sami villages Tuorpon and Jåkhågaska, we do everything to avoid disturbing nature and reindeer husbandry.

In partnership with ATOMIC, Heliskikvikkjokk will serve as a test center for Atomic’s big mountain segment. As a guest, this means you can choose to travel light with only your boots in your luggage. Atomic’s on-site expert will help you find the right skis.

For those traveling with their own equipment, it’s an opportunity to try something new.

As we operate in high alpine terrain, Safety is written with a capital S at Heliski Kvikkjokk.

Our experienced guide team is led by Peter Aubrunner, SGSF Guide and one of Austria’s most accomplished avalanche experts.

The team also includes medical expertise, with our own doctor Tomas Isaksson and Torbjörn Andersson, registered nurse.

The package includes safety equipment such as avalanche backpack (airbag), transceiver, probe, and avalanche shovel.

Before heading out to the mountains, all our guests undergo thorough basic training in companion rescue where we learn to use the safety equipment.
